life
I’ve become pretty accustomed to seeing this:
and this:
and this:
but for some reason, I’m still slightly surprised when I see this:
or this:
or this:
or especially this:
And while I ADORE my boys, I’m feeling pretty thankful for the beauty this little darling brings to our lives.

Oh my goodness, this post made my heart smile! I had to laugh at the Lighting McQueen in the first picture. My son asks for him as SOOn as he wakes up and would go to sleep with him if I would let him. And, I feel the exact same way. I’m so used to all those boys things, but having a girl is just something super special. I can’t believe I was worried about having a girl. I absolutely LOVE it!

SOOOOOOOOOOO Sweet! I have the opposite obstacle course in my house. I find hairbows, pink socks, headbands, nailpolish and brushes everywhere. I miss the days of matchbox cars and steve’s notebook from blue’s clues(my babyboy is now 11) Im glad your getting to experience the joys of having a girl in your home. After having #5 a few months ago (also another girl) I think that my matchbox car days are over. lol But you never know what God has planned, so I’ll just sit back and enjoy the blessings I have right now. Beautiful little girl you have. -melanie

We have 3 boys, so it would be funny to me to see bows and such around the house. I don’t know what we would do if we ever get to have a little sister around here!

She’s a beauty, all right! Love her girly things mixed in with all the boys’ stuff – a good visual of how blessed you are, we are, I am.

I LOVE this post so much! See I am the mother of 4 boys and we had our little girl last year. So my house pretty much was all red and blue and legos and star wars and now it’s got a few dollies and bows and pink everywhere. Fun to have something a little different now and then! Just found your site and LOVE it!

Hi! I know EXACTLY what you mean! After having 3 boys, I didn’t even know if we could make girls! But when my boys were 13, 10, and 6, I gave birth to my little dream-come-true, Sabrina (almost 10 years ago)! I would marvel and thank God for the washer full of PINK laundry!
I just found your blog (from The Inspired Room) — love it!

AWWW!!! Looks all too familiar. We can’t wait to add a little “feminine touch” to our lives either. What a blessing she must be to you guys! Congratulations!!
