I lit my baked apple candle and put out my fall things yesterday. I’m looking forward to picking pumpkins and going to a fall festival!

I’ve been thinking the same thing! I love fall: the food, the clothes, the people, the leaves…but this year I’ve been clinging to summer like it won’t come next year. Here’s to enjoying summer and looking forward to fall

I LOVE fall and all the clothes I get to bring out of hiding. I am from the south, so it goes without saying that I am a football season lovin’ girl! But I will miss all the freedoms of summer!!

You definitely pushed me fully into fall mode with those images and I just signed up for JDC monthly, so now I’m all in!

I am ready, but our temps this week will reach 99 degrees every day! It’s hard to get in the fall mood with weather like that.

I’m totally a Fall girl. I love the clothes and the boots. Mostly the excuse to wear boots with dresses. I’m ready for Fall but the weather doesn’t seem to know what time it is! Still in the 90′s and I find it amazing that the leaves are changing color. Also excited about Fall this year because our new baby will be here! Just a few more weeks!

Emily, THANK YOU for posting these pics, its helping me get into the fall mood. Like you, I’m a Puget Sound girl, but we live in Eastern WA now and are still having hot weather. So its been hard to get into fall mode, but you are helping!

I bought my ‘creamy pumpkin’ candles at Bath and Body so my house will smell like fall even though it’s 98 outside.

I am with you on being ready for Fall. It is definitely my favorite season and now that Labor day is behind us I feel like I can go full steam ahead into my fall decorating… even if it still is in the upper 80′s down south. ha!

I soooo want it to be fall already. I’m from Ohio but live in Dallas now and I completely miss the smells, clothes and colors. Spent last weekend in NYC where I got a whiff of damp fallen leaves. It was so comforting, but then I was quite rudely transported back to 103-degree heat. Sigh.

Ah well, I shall love vicariously through my family!

I’m a summer girl, through and through, but who doesn’t love fall? My boys’ enthusiasm about Halloween last year is one of my favorite memories to date, so I can’t wait for that again!

So, I am definitely in the minority – among your commentors and just about everyone I know – but I am a summer girl. I love the long days, the warm air (not crazy humid, but warm), the grass between my toes, the ability to work outside long after my child is in bed, eating outdoors, swimming, the beach, flip flops, berries of all kinds, peaches, an open sun roof – I could go on and on and on. Fall is nice enough, and I do love football and honey crisp apples and a nice bonfire – but I am and always will be, a summer girl.

I’m such a fall girl- but, alas, it’s still summer for a month and a half here in Napa. I bought some lovely fall clothes yesterday and I just can’t wait to wear them. I loved your fall decor pics!

The crackling fire makes my heart hurt as I’m moving out of a house with a fireplace this week… I just love the smell.

Oh, how I love everything about fall and everything about these pictures! Now off to rearrange, redecorate, and paint everything!
