a tool worth adding to your craft arsenal

For as much crafting that is done around here, you’d be surprised at the lack of fancy craft supplies hanging around in my office. I have my loyal go-to’s {tape gun, paper cutter, corner rounder}, and a few regular embellishments {baker’s twine, alphabet stamps, glitter glue} and I’m typically pretty satisfied with these.Ā  But I just bought myself a present that is proving to be a use-it-on-everything tool.

It’s an inverted corner punch 2-in-1 obnoxiously large crafting tool. And I love it.

Just open up the top flaps, align your paper and punch.

The two options are great, but I mostly love the stub punch. It was just what I was looking for.

Now I want to punch everything.

    Christmas cards:

    Gift tags:

    My business cards:

    And this scripture card {from the November JDC | monthly collection}

    Just to name a few.

Sometimes it’s the little things …

    1. I love your handiwork. Thanks for sharing it. You are really good at what you do. I would love to start something too, even if it’s just for my family. Thanks.

    2. I just wanted you to know that I printed off the thankful tree cards and hung them on an indoor, lovely leafless tree last year. When I hosted the BIG dinner here only (15 or so peeps) we each drew a card from the tree. We all sat down in the front room of our home. We were squished together, kids on top of laps, and pillows strewn from the sofa to the floor. People were just stuffed in there. Once we got settled, each of us took a turn reading the name on the card and listing the positive aspects of that person and his or her contributions to our family. On an occasion or two there were uncomfortable silences that were sustained as a reader would struggle to regain composure. Many of us were in tears. It was the deepest, most tender time our family has ever shared. Thank you for this free printable. Thank you for posting it once again this year! I will again, repeat this tradition. We will undoubtedly share tears again because this year two of our members are away at military boot camp. Thank you for providing a new tradition for our family to share! Happy Thanksgiving!

    3. I’d never thought about it, but now that I’ve seen it, I’ve GOT to have that tool! So many times, I’ve wanted to do corners like that on tags and photos. I’ve tried cutting and using the cut corner as a template for the other 3 and it LOOKS like I tried to cut one and use it as a template for the other 3! Thanks for the share…I’m going to make a quick trip to add to my box of other NECESSARY things!

    4. Glad to hear you will be voting! Thanks so much for sharing all that you do, and especially this tool. Like Asia, I was wondering if you printed the wedding cards, and if so what paper/printer you use? The quality looks beautiful. Many thanks!

    5. Emily,
Do you share your business card template? I love the square design. The new tool is really great, too! So many fun possibilities!

      1. I printed the picture on glossy photo paper. Probably not right for an actual card, but it was a mock-up. You could also just back it in a cardstock if you like the photo paper look.

    6. Woah! So Emily, is the stub punch the new rounded corner!? I have to keep up on all of these trends, ya know!? And I agree — I try to keep all of the crazy supplies to a minimum (I don’t even have a glue gun!) But I have been stitching your nonna flowers and I might have to give in and start gluing them! : )

    7. Dear Emily,

I was just wondering what is the name of the font from your scripture card – it looks wonderful!
Many thanks for your answer and have a great weekend!
