kitchen reorganized
After Christmas, I {we} had an urge to freshen things up. I’m sure part of it for me is that little thing called ‘nesting’, but it really is not that uncommon for us to move things around. Our friends joke that when they come to our house things are always different. There is much truth to that.
I have a good list of tasks around the house and one big one was taking everything off the kitchen shelves, dusting, and rearranging.
Here are a few befores:

It feels fresh and clean and a little fluffier for valentines day.
Lots more moving and rearranging to take place in the next few weeks … updates to come.

As have others, I have found your blog through The Nester and just love your site! Have enjoyed browsing around your site and love your handmade boutique. I had to write & tell you that your kitchen has caught my eye. A nice blend of country charm and some lovely contemporary open shelving thrown in. If possible, could you share where you found your shelving?

I absolutely love your kitchen and now you’ve given me some great ideas for mine. I live in a city condo and naturally am tight on space. My kitchen is decent but I could always use more room and I am seriously considering eliminating my upper cabinets in lieu of some shelving, to give it a more open feel. I am commiserating with Sandy (post above) and wondering where you purchased your shelves? I’m guessing Ikea?
Happy 4th!

FYI-I will be copying your kitchen in my own one day. Just wanted to warn you.
K-thanks-bye!

Love the open shelves…where did you get you shelves? Love the stainless steal on the ends.
Thanks

Hello! Browsing your blog – LOVE your kitchen! I have white appliances, and since they are not broken we don’t have the money to change them out. So I’ve been looking at options for a kitchen using white appliances- you know they are so hard to find! Do you have any other pictures of the whole kitchen on your blog? I looked through the “our house” posts. my cabinets are oak, but a weird “pickled/frosted” finish which makes them look pink. I’m thinking about painting white – just didn’t know if it would be overwhelming!

Hi,
Are you sure we were not separated at birth? LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, your decorating style. By any chance would you be willing to share the color chip name/number of your amazing kitchen. I love it! Thanks, Kathryn
