nursery design board & a new print coming soon

My blog-friend Darlene, who writes Fieldstone Hill Design, is due any second with baby Georgia {love that name}. She has been featuring a handful of talented designers to come up with their dream nursery design boards. All of them have been so different, yet totally full of inspiration.

This week, it’s my turn to share the nursery of my dreams. I have called it:

nursery-for-littlest-lady

It’s remarkably similar to Audrey’s room {only better and more refined}. I’m all about a nursery that can grow with the baby and this room has many grown-up pieces that can move to other places in the home as well. I’m still in love with the blues, grays and golds that I did Audrey’s room in and think it’s a sophisticated, classic, and pretty take on a nursery.  sneak-peek-of-nursery-design-board

One of my favorite elements is right there in the middle and one I’ve been waiting for so long to have created … a new print, titled twirl. I have tried for over three years to come up with the right artwork to go with one of the most heart-felt posts I’ve ever written, and finally the super-talented Lindsay {of Lindsay Letters} designed the perfect one.

Isn’t it beautiful?! We have a few different colors and I’ll share all the details on monday {09/09/13}. The supply is limited, so I wanted to let you know ahead of time so you can grab one before they’re gone.

But for now, please head on over to Darlene’s to check out the sweet little nursery {and wish her many blessings on her new baby girl}!

I love this nursery design board! Such a sweet little room to grow with a sweet little girl. Do you use a particular program to create your design boards?

Hi Emily, I love following your blog and I also follow Darlene at Fieldstone Hill. I visited her blog first and saw your nursery design there and was so happy to see it! I love that two of my favorite bloggers were together in such a beautifully designed post. I also am loving the Twirl print. It instantly reminded me of you with a post you wrote a couple years ago about your favorite word and this print is the prettiest way to highlight that word. Gorgeous! Sharon

I’m SOOOO excited about your new print. It is perfect. You and Lindsey are two of my faves and the post you wrote about “twirl” was very impacting to me when you posted it a few years ago and still impacts me today. I am hoping to grab a twirl print for our new place. We move tomorrow!

hey! i just redid my nursery and made a dresser that color and then redid my oldest daughter’s room and put the quote about being a daughter of the King in it! No wonder I love your blog!

Loving your colors and bold (but still nicely feminine) patterns. Will we get to see more?

Like everyone that knows her work, I’m a HUGE fan of Lindsay’s art prints. I already have two seasonal prints, and look forward to collecting more.

I wish everyone could see how handsome these prints are in real life. I’ve been lucky enough to sneak a peek into Lindsay’s studio – her colors and papers are beyond wonderful. There’s a richness and depth that (to me) is hard to capture in a photo. This is sure to be keepsake for lucky little Georgia!
