When I was a little girl, I loved the American Girl books. One Christmas, I received a sweater box FULL of all the remaining American Girl books that I didn’t have yet! Oh, I was so thrilled.

I love Land of Nod!
My favorite Christmas present as a child was a girl doll named Mafalda. A smart curious little girl. She is very famous in Latin America. Google her, you’ll love her! !

My favorite gift that still sticks out in my mind was so simple but I LOVED it…a huge box filled with art supplies…colored paper, fresh crayons, glitter…you name it and it was there…so wonderful!
Adrianna
Gorgeous twin dolls. My grandparents gave me one doll one year, then forgot and gave me the same doll the next year. I was SO excited to have two that I had no clue it was actually a mistake on their part. I still love those dolls!
Erin
My favorite gift was the box set of Little House on the Prairie books I received from Santa when I was 7. Read the entire set that Christmas and opened a whole new world of reading.

A hair crimper! Do you remember these? Oh my, what fun my sister and I had and how amazing I’m sure we looked.

Hmmm…this is a hard one because I mainly remember the time with family, but not so much the gifts. Maybe I should try to remember that when Christmas shopping for my own kids.
I do remember a Barbie Shower that was pretty special!
Katy
Definately the best gift I got was the love for giving that I learned from my parents. It was so fun and so memorable to pick a child off the Salvation Army angel tree and shop for a child. It just wasn’t Christmas unless we were doing a little act of service for someone. Since then, I’ve learned what happiness comes when you give and as funny as it sounds, I do it for “selfish” reasons – for that wonderful high you feel when not concentrating on your own problems and thinking of others.
In tune with ‘giving’, if I win I’d love to offer it as a giveaway on my blog to raise money for a non-profit orphan charity that helps children with special needs find homes & families – Reece’s Rainbow. My kids have plenty of toys. They are well-blessed! The greatest gift would be to help these children (particularly the specific angel I’m raising money for) get out of the orphanages and institutions and find loving homes they deserve!

My parents got me a dollhouse that we painted, wallpapered, carpeted, and furnished together. It is an heirloom I can’t wait to pass on to my daughters.
Shannon Stinson
The gift I remember most was a Barbie I received when I was 7. It was the Christmas my parents were struggling and there wouldn’t be many gifts that year, but someone at a local charity decided that my 3 sisters and I would receive a large bag of gifts that year. Inside was the Barbie. It to this day is a reminder of how God always provides.
Love the Land of Nod. By the way we bought my daughter the Melissa and Doug cookie set, it is the cutest thing ever and has brought a lot of joy to my daughter.
