gift card winner + my picks at amazon

As a special bonus, everyone who purchased from the shop on Cyber Monday was entered to win this:

A $300 gift card from Amazon.

Congratulations to REBEKAH FOX. You are the big winner!

Please send me a note and we’ll get your gift card out to you ASAP.

. . . . . . . . . . . .

Are you an Amazon shopper? Our family is. It seems like every time I find something in a store I think to myself, I bet you could get that on amazon. Most of the times, it’s true … for an even better price.  You have to love that.  And with Amazon Prime, we don’t even pay for shipping. It’s like I’m a walking Amazon saleswoman – which I’m not – but I really do like Amazon and order all kinds of things online.

Anyway, just for fun I thought I’d show you some of my faves that I would buy {and a few I already have} if I were the winner of the gift card

1. pencil sharpener {we have worn ours out and it’s time for a new one}

2. think thin protein bars {the only bars that don’t taste like chalk to me}

3. Q & A journal {I profess my love for this little book on this post}

4. le pen assortment {just plain happy}

5. milk steamer {I wanted it then, and I still want it now}

6. tocca candle in florence {a light, fresh scent}

7. pure barre workout dvd {to tone at home and an excuse to wear my ballet shoes}

8. good bones, great pieces {coffee table book that’s extra pretty}

9. silpat baking mat {why do I not own this yet?}

10. thoughts to make your heart sing {beautiful children’s devotional}

11. rotary paper trimmer {what I use nearly every day}

12. taylor swift cd {what I listen to nearly every day}

That is my list.

What’s on yours?

    I second the Nespresso U with Aeroccino milk frother. We got one a week ago and it’s amazing. I don’t think strongly brewed coffee will be quite the same. And the price comes out to what that Breville frother costs almost (with the $100 credit for Nespresso pod purchase). My husband was skeptical about a ‘fancy’ coffee machine, but he almost loves it more than me.

    I have a tip for you re: a milk steamer. I got one at Costco for 40 dollars! I love it! I live in the Puget Sound area so you might be able to find it as well.

    I’d love to see a list of your favorite children’s books!!! I’m trying to get Christmas shopping done early for my two little boys (ages 2 and 3), and I remember a bookshelf post you did that looked full of wonderful children’s books. Would love any advice!

    I think you would really like the Barre3 online workout videos. They are awesome and there are so many to choose from. You never get bored. It’s a great value for only $15 a month. I bought the Nespresso espresso machine and Aeroccino milk frother and we use it every single day. They are running a ton of deals on them right now. It’s 20% off this weekend (Sur La Table) and you get $100 credit from Nespresso on the coffee pods. We buy so many things from Amazon but I thought you might enjoy these things too!

    I really want the Taylor Swift cd! It is on my Christmas list. I also love the Q & A journal. I love the idea of writing in a journal, but I have never committed to writing in one. I think the question and answer format would be more fun. And it would help me learn more about myself.

    LOVe this collection. Congrats to the winner. :)

    I also have that little Q& A book and it’s so fun!!

    You have the best ideas! Just don’t make these lists too often because I just went on an Amazon shopping spree (although it was mostly for Christmas).

    Re the frother – a friend and I both bought one – same day, same time, same place. It’s the Breville. When she froths the minimum amount of skim milk she gets so much froth it’s like meranigue. When I do the same amount only with 1% i barely get any bubbles. So I called and they are sending me a new whatever it is that does the frothing. We’ll see if it works then. She’s elated with hers – me, not so much, considering they cost $129.99. I bought the Q&A and am starting it 1/1/13. Can’t wait. I might just buy those pens and make it pretty!

    Looks like a great list! I will be checking some if them out for sure!

    Congrats, Rebekah! Very cool to get that card this time of year!!

    I absolutely adore the Taylor CD. I have it in my Tahoe. It goes everywhere with me. Love her new music!

    Hey! I just bought Thoughts to Make Your Heart Sing last weekend! Are you familiar with Andrew Peterson and his album/show Behold the Lamb of God? {If not, you can listen to the whole thing for free on his website!} Anyway, he always reads from Sally Lloyd-Jones Jesus Storybook Bible at the beginning. They had this for sale at the show and I love the JSB so much that I HAD to buy it! :) SOOO good! {I don’t even have kids, lol!}

  14. Sharon December 5, 2012 at 9:43 am #

    Yay for Rebekah! I don’t know her, but that’s exciting. :) I love your Amazon list. I have the Q&A book and my new year’s resolution is to actually write from it instead of just peruse it! I also love the silpat mats, makes baking much easier, and I love Think Thin bars! The peanut butter chocolate is my fave and I really appreciate the company’s mission and philosophy. So handy to have in your purse when hunger strikes too. Merry Christmas!
