a tuft of hair

As Audrey’s hair grows in, I’ve noticed that she has this one spot on top where her hair
curls up in a little swoop.

The other day it was particularly out-of-control and I remembered seeing something similar
in a baby photo of me

{don’t laugh}

Put side-by-side, I can’t help but smile at the hair similarities {but mirror image}
between mommy & baby.

Who knew hair tufts were inheritable?!

{good thing she didn’t get my double chin}

    Great photos! I have some of my oldest daughter Jamison and I, and the only way you can tell the difference between us is the age of the photo (mine has that lovely 70’s era yellow tinting). A question, though… on the wall behind Audrey… did you wallpaper with book pages!!?!? Or is it a big frame? I was thinking of covering the ceiling in my dining room with book pages, but wasn’t sure if it would work…

    Oh my goodness, you guys are twins! Isn’t it fun to look back at your baby pictures once you have a baby of your own?! My grandmother and I were looking through mine and she really thought some pics of me were of my little girl. I just love that :)

    I think she is adorable!
    Fast foward 14 years and
    you will be in my shoes…
    With a girl who asks,
    “Does my hair look okay?”
    She was bald as a cue ball
    for the first year but now
    has the thickest head of
    hair. I wonder what your
    tuft turned into??
    Cute post!
    xx Suzanne

    How funny. I have a single wave that goes down the back of my head. My daughter inherited that random wave. Like me, she will have to own a flat iron. It is interesting the random things our kids can inherit. Thanks for sharing, so cute!

    My dad’s side has an unfortunate forehead wrinkle gene. I’m only 25 and I’m looking for wrinkle cream! It’s probably a lost cause though.
