    • Now that I’m looking back at the question I answered about the shorts, I’m wondering if Monica was asking where to get shorts for HER 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER that don’t look like underwear instead of where to get ADULT shorts that don’t look like 7 year old underwear?! I’m not sure. But whatever. Here are the shorts I showed:

Great chat! It was fun to hear you mention Annie Downs! I follow her on IG, and she is doing the Romans study as well. She had the binding removed from her book, and replaced it with spiral binding. I thought that was a great idea.

Another great place to find shorts is Land’s End (catalog or website). They have various lengths of inseam which is really nice: 5″, 7″ or even 10″. Reasonably priced as well and often have coupons.

Emily, always enjoy your coffee chat and today the feature about the book and Audrey perked my ears. I just released my 52 Commands of Jesus for Children with 52 Coloring Pages. The book is available on Amazon. I believe your family is the perfect age to use this resource for ONE YEAR. A command/character quality each week. My heart is that the book will impact the Kingdom for God’s glory and our children’s good. Please take a look – this is about HIM, not me. Thanks so much.

If you move to Charleston, there will be no hot tea and coffee. It’s sweet tea all the way.on ice and with lemon. You would love the south. Speaking of pale skin,my legs are so white they glow like neon.

Emily, I cut 5 inches off my hair last month and have been going through the same struggle! I hate that I don’t feel like “me”. My hair has always served as a security blanket. That being said, had you not pointed out your cut, I wouldn’t have noticed! You look as stunning and radiant as you always have. The beautiful essence of you is so much more than your hair. From one post-haircut sister to another….you look GORGEOUS.

      Ah, thanks Jill.

I found a great meal planning tip on pinterest that we have been using for over a year now. I have a blank calendar printed out on the fridge (your paperworks one would probably be perfect actually but I just print a blank one from my calendar app on the computer) and every weekend (sat or sun) I go through my list of recipes and pick what we want to eat for the week and write it on the calendar. At the same time I make my grocery list for anything that I need for those meals. Then I do one grocery trip sometime during the weekend to pick up everything I need. Then each night I just take out whatever protein I need for the next day (if it is in the freezer) and the next day I already know what is for dinner. I found it totally takes away the stress of trying to decide at 4:00 what to make for dinner and this way my husband can also help since he doesn’t have to ask me what is planned. I find by doing it one week at a time all of the veggies stay good and I only have to grocery shop once a week. Sometimes we end up skipping a meal if we go out or have leftovers, but overall it just makes things super easy and totally eliminates the stress!

Happy Friday – I’m from the South (South Carolina) and have lived in California for 17 years… It took a while for this to feel like home but after a few years I’m so happy living here. So don’t give up on moving to the south.. Just be patient. We hope to retire to Charleston after the kids move on. :)
