Coffee Chat episode 28 | lilacs, springtime and such

Well hello there! It has been way too long since our last coffee chat. Isn’t that how things go, though? You have every intention of getting together with your girlfriends and weeks (or months!) go by before it actually happens. But here we are! Grab a cup of coffee (or whatever suits your taste buds – I’m snacking on bbq potato chips!) and let’s chat.

MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO

  • Lilacs have my heart. To keep them looking good for a few days, I smash the stems and let them drink lots of cold water, changing it daily. For more lilac loveliness, check out these most recent Instagram photos from Floret Flower.

  •  Ryan and I created a mentoring class for small business owners called NEW MOMPRENEUR. You can learn more about it here.

  •  SIMPLIFIED WATERCOLOR just opened up this week. Registration closes next Wednesday, May 16th.
  • Give your mom (or friend or kiddo) the gift of Simplified Watercolor with a GIFT CERTIFICATE. Ryan worked his tech magic and made it super easy for you to give a class!
  • Download and print this free flower card! Print on thick white paper (if your printer will take watercolor paper, it looks even more authentic!), fold in half and write a special note to a mama in your life.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE CARD.

Please let me know if you have anything you’d like to chat about next time!

Thanks! It is a lightweight sweater I bought at H&M years ago.

Cute nail polish! It looks good on you! (I like your choice of earrings too) I’m tuning in from Australia, and look forward to your Coffee Chats…
I too work from home with my husband, so am not too social… (I spend a lot of time driving around our 11 year old son – I also have a newly-turned 18yr son.. )
Your casual and super friendly chats have helped me feel connected to the real world… so thank-you…

I miss lilacs!! Growing up in WI, they were such a signal of spring. I think it must be too hot for them here in NC, because I haven’t seen any around anywhere!

Even though Audrey is old enough to not be in a car seat/booster anymore, I would still encourage you to not let her (or anyone) sit in the front seat until they are 12. As a rule, their bodies just aren’t big enough to have the seat belt hit them in the correct spot, or to handle the impact of the airbags.

I agree with you and lilacs. My family has a tree nursery in the nw and we grow a few varieties of lilacs and I can likely get one or two for you.
