Just as I love decorating with neutrals in our house, I like dressing myself in them as well. Jeans everyday paired with gray, blue or (my favorite) white. You should see my closet … it’s not very interesting.
I’ve heard before that wearing white when you are as pale-skinned as I am is not really the most flattering look, but I pay no attention to that rule. I like white. I like how crisp it is, how it pairs so well with denim, how classic it feels and the neutral base it offers.
A white tee paired with jeans means you can add your personality through accessories. Put on a pair of colored ballet flats, cute earrings, a hat or cardigan or jacket and you’re set.
I ordered this cute scallop neck top for Spring and love the sweet detail. It reminded me how much I adore a good white tee.

If you find that white tees are a little see-through, don’t forget to grab a couple of camisoles to wear under. I have a few of these inexpensive camis in nude and white that I wear under almost everything. I’m on the hunt for a cute lacy tank and so far this is the front-runner.

I wish I looked better in white but this red head doesn’t. It really makes me look washed out. Green is my “neutral.” It highlights my hair and put color in my face and I can wear it with almost everything!

I am pale and love a good, white T-shirt too! Living with a capsule wardrobe, nothing proves to be as versital or comfortable.
Happy to see that you chose an Everlane tee. They are one of my favorite, go-to websites for environmentally friendly, fare trade goods. Check out their leather pointed slip on alternatives to the usual tennis shoe. I wore them all through England and France last year and loved their comfort and style. Sorry that I don’t recall what the name is.
I can only wear ‘winter white’ so it doesn’t quite fit the fresh spring feel.
What size did you order in the scallop top?
What do people do about pit stains? I’ve had some success spraying t-shirt underarms with lemon juice diluted with water before laundering – lessens the stains, but doesn’t completely remove them 😩
You have to wear only deodorant, not antiperspirant – that is what makes the fabric stain yellow.
Dry in the sun.

I am of the age that I like three quarter length sleeves ! I love white tees and white shirts !
I use to love cap sleeve tees. But unfortunately arms give age away even while I have stayed in
relatively good shape .
Not sure why the clothing industry hasn’t figured this out ? The population is aging but hip hop and happening and want to look present and accounted for with style .
How do you keep yours super white? Do you wash with only whites? Bleach?

Can you recommend any white t shirts that aren’t see through? I have given up!
The scallop one I’m wearing is nice and thick (#7) and I think based on the modal material, #4 would be a great choice.
What do you think of the H&M tees Emily? Some of their Basics line shirts are 100% organic cotton and thick enough so as not to be see through.
I love the H&M tees. I bought a few of their basic v-necks this spring, and they are a nice weight, not see-through, and have just the right amount of stretch.
I’ll check those out, too! Living in south Texas, I just can’t bear to wear a cami under my shirts :P
