It’s fall, y’all. And that means I’m all about baking things like chocolate chip pumpkin bread.

This version is so moist and muffin-like and the big chocolate chips sweetens it up just the right amount. My family gobbled these two loaves up in no time.

    CHOCOLATE CHIP PUMPKIN BREAD

    makes two loaves

    3 cups flour
    2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp baking soda
    4 eggs
    2 cups sugar
    2 cups canned pumpkin
    1 1/2 cups canola oil

1 bag chocolate chips (I use milk chocolate)

    Preheat oven to 350.
In stand-up mixer, beat eggs, sugar, pumpkin and oil. Gradually add in dry ingredients until just combined.  Pour in chocolate chips.
Pour evenly into two greased loaf pans (4×8). Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool on wire racks.
    Slice and serve.

    Yum. You’ll love this bread.

    1. Such a pretty recipe card! I love the idea of giving one along with a loaf of pumpkin bread, to neighbors, my kids teachers, and party hostesses!

    2. My 16 year old son asked me for pumpkin bread and I made your recipe this week. He has been eating it for breakfast, after football snack and dessert. I sent the other loaf to the office with my husband and it was gobbled up. It is Yummy! Thanks for sharing!

    3. Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe Emily! I made it for church today and it was a hit :) I can always count on the quality of your recipes <3 Bless you!

    4. Looks so good, but just wondering…since most canned pumpkin is 15oz. (about 1.5 cups), do you only use 1 can for this recipe( as pictured!), or do you measure it out and use more than 1 can to get the 2 cups that are called for? Thanks so much!

      1. There are 8 ounces in a cup when measuring liquids so 15 ounces is 1 ounce short of two cups. I would qualify pumpkin puree as liquid so one 15 ounce can would be close enough to 2 cups in this recipe.

    5. This looks great, but I don’t mean to be cynical when I say “canned pumpkin”???!! Only in America. I think you’re in America… So that I can make this yummy looking bread…is canned pumpkin pureed or pieces?
I love reading your blog, by the way.
