I bribed my son with candy

One of the best parts of my job {if you can even call it that!} is creating a new collection of printable paper goods for JDC | Monthly.  Every month has something unique to celebrate and finding a way to make that stylish rather than obvious is a fun challenge for me.

This October, the collection is clearly fall-inspired, but with a twist.

Pumpkins – the obvious choice – but in unexpected patterns and colors.

Treat bags and stickers for Halloween – because that’s what October is known for – but without the spiders and witches and spooky stuff {I don’t know, I just can’t get into all of that}.

And this time around, I bribed my cutie 4-year-old with Halloween candy to help me do the project tutorial. Want to see? He may or may not pick his nose about a minute into it.

Isn’t he the cutest? Even if he did try to take off my arm – that’s his frisky style.

To download and print the items shown, you can join JDC | Monthly {your first month is free!} and you will also get all kinds of other goodies.

weekly calendar . note cards . daily menu planner . grocery lists . chore charts . scripture cards . dinner menu . monthly calendar . art print . gift tags and bags

I’ve been a subscriber of your monthly printables since this summer and every month, I say, “Oh, this is my favorite!” And then the next month comes and I say,
“Oh, no. THIS is my favorite!” I’m definitely a happy customer.

Your son cracked me up!! The moment we try to video the grandkids, their finger goes up their nose, or itches their bum. In one shot, my granddaughter, who is the same age as your son, announced she just pooted. ((laughing and sighing at the same time) Good times…

Hello Emily! Well, you’ve finally tempted me and I’ve taken the plunge and signed up for the JDC Monthly. Looks so exciting this month! I’ve been wanting to try it out.

Also, do you have a list somewhere of the typical paper you suggest for printing each of these. Like the art printables, do you suggest card stock each month? I wanted to go to Office Depot and pick up all the types of paper you will be sending out templates for so I can have them on hand each month.

    thank you.

  21. Sandy September 24, 2012 at 9:31 am #

Oh thank Goodness, you feel just like me when it comes to Halloween!
What fun is it at all to scare the living daylights out of the little ones with the spiders and gosts and rip lawns everywhere?
October is such a beautiful month and the gorgeous colors everywhere.

Okay I sad my say… at least you know I totally agree with you.
Love your blog… I subscribed and have enjoyed reading about your everyday goodness. Even picked up some paintbrushes to try my hand/take onto a huge canvas with white pumpkin (just have not done it yet).
By the next summer it will be done. ;)

I need me some grocery lists and such… so considering to subscribe to your monthly goodies too. (just not there yet).

This was again a delightful post! Thank you…

I love this new collection and was so excited to get it in my email box over the weekend! Great colors and I like the twist of the patterns on the pumpkins. I think I spy a new wall shelf behind you in the video. Hope you can post house updates soon! I love your style and can’t wait to see what changes you have made.
