the scripture collection

First of all, thank you so much for the kind words on yesterday’s post. I am always so encouraged by you and am grateful that you continue to read my long-winded stories.  You are the best.

zig zag

About a year ago, Ryan and I decided we wanted some scripture put up around our house. I looked at what was available and was underwhelmed.  Not that there is anything wrong with a soaring eagle, but that seemed to be the only form of Christian art available. And we are just not that in to soaring eagles.

The first scripture print sort of happened by accident {you can read the story behind the lamp print here} but it led to the creation of a few more {bird, fruit, chair}.

I loved the idea of using a graphic silhouette with scripture as an updated way to put truth on my walls in a subtle and modern way.

I like these prints, had always hoped to add new ones, but found other things to do instead.

But the other day, I received an email from a reader who suggested two new prints so that she could have a whole collection of scripture art to hang together.  I thought the idea was brilliant.

And so I introduce you to my newest prints, TROPHY and HEART.

Because not everyone has room on their walls for 8 x 10 prints, I have resized the scripture prints to a 5 x 7 size as well.

These are now available for purchase in the shop.

. . .  OR  . . .

I am now offering all six prints together and calling it the scripture collection.

scripture collection no price

The scripture collection includes one of each scripture print in the new 5 x 7 size. They are printed on heavy linen textured paper and are great for keeping for yourself or giving as gifts to your family and friends {early Christmas shopping anyone?}.

Individually they are $9.95.

If purchased as a collection, you can get all six for $39.95

Click below to purchase and I’ll send out your package of prints shortly!

I love this tutorial! I can’t wait to make it for fall! I was looking at some of your old blogs and I absolutely love the “what i wore” blogs. Are you going to continue those for fall?!

Emily – God is so good and His timing is always perfect. He cares about all the details of our lives and the desires of our hearts. How precious for him to answer your prayer in such a dramatic way!

I had another idea for a print…what about a silhouette of a present with James 1:17a that says, “Every good and perfect gift is from above”. It would be a perfect gift for a baby shower for a long-awaited child. Love all your ideas, your genuineness and your amazing style!

These are just SO lovely! I’m thinking what budget accounts I can pull money from so I can buy them… :)

And congratulations on your dream being realized! I’m so happy for you :)

I love these! I tried to copy your idea for my parent’s 30th anniversary present but my version turned out pretty bad haha. I tried to type their wedding vows inside of a wedding cake, but I had trouble getting it just the way I wanted in Photoshop. Oh well. Love your stuff cuz!

I had been holding out for a bigger scripture print (than 8×10) and was happily surprised that your prints were being sold at Dayspring. I have your lamp print on its way and I am so excited! Thank you for blessing our house with the scripture to remind us of God’s promises in a unique and modern way.

I loved the background you wrote about the lamp print and I had purchased before I read it, but it is really nice to know a bit more about why you chose that text and in the Message version. Thanks and love the new prints too!

Just what you need is me to put something else on your “to do” list, but here goes….
How about a female silhouette with Proverbs 31?

I love your verse prints. I have the lamp print and can’t decide where it needs to live. I’ve had it propped by the coffee pot so it is the first things I see in the morning. It has also been on my bathroom vanity and the entry table. Maybe I should just solve the problem by getting the entire collection and having The Word to greet me at all my favorite landing spots.

Keep it coming Emily. You and your blog are so inspiring and I am thrilled for your success!

What a generous offer Emily! My mother has wanted some scripture art for our house for quite a while and I think she’d like yours. I just have one question: Would there be any way for you to offer them in the King James Version also?
Thanks for sharing your inspiration with us!

    SOLI DEO GLORIA!

I am wondering what you would charge for all six in the 8 x 10 size? These are lovely, and I just happen to be in the decorating stage of my new house, and I think these would fit nicely! :)

SERIOUSLY??!?! I pinned the chair print last night from Dayspring and then this morning was thinking maybe I wanted the pear on canvas. Now I can have all of them. I am THRILLED! What a sweet thing to do to offer them at a discount. You are such a gift. Truly

  24. BreAnne September 7, 2011 at 8:41 am #

    Emily,

First, congratulations on your artwork being featured at Dayspring! They are lucky to have you!! Also, I want to thank you, thank you, thank you for providing these beautiful prints in 5×7’s! My husband and I are building a house and as soon as I saw your work I knew I had to have some of them in my home. However, I wanted to have them in m my home but I couldn’t afford to buy ALL of them… and they were so big. Now, I will be able to have one in every room at just the right size!! :) So excited!

Thanks, and many blessings to you! You are an inspiration to me and every day I look forward to my emails from you! :)

Luv your wonderful note cards! But most of all I love their message!

  27. Kirby September 7, 2011 at 6:33 am #

Hi Emily! I am so excited about these art prints! My husband and I just bought our first home and I have been wanting to add scripture to our walls, but ran into the same problem as you – I don’t like soaring eagles! I love the black distressed frame the prints come in on Dayspring, but I see the two new prints are not offered there. Are you planning on offering all your scripture prints on Dayspring, or just the ones that are currently there? (I was interested in a framed bird and heart print.) Congratulations on your work – it’s wonderful!
