With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to share a few freebie love note designs.
What’s not to LOVE about watercolor hearts, arrows, rain clouds raining down hearts?
My illustrations were scanned and formatted into sweet little note cards with matching diy envelopes. Keep reading for the how-to and to download the files!
To make the envelopes, here’s what you’ll need:
templates printed on thick white paper / scissors / adhesive (like this) / washi tape (here’s my favorite source)
STEP ONE / cut template on dashed lines
STEP TWO / fold in sides, press firmly to crease
STEP THREE / fold up bottom, press firmly to crease
STEP FOUR / use glue dots (or other adhesive) to attach bottom flap to sides
STEP FIVE / write a love note and slip it in
STEP SIX / fold down top flap and seal with washi tape
Add a name to the front and send to your valentine!
There are four designs with matching note cards + envelopes, but feel free to mix & match!
These cards and envelopes can be found in THE ARCHIVE along with all of our best free prints, templates and fonts. If you are not an Archive member, simply add your email to the list and you’re in!

My daughter needed some last minute Valentine cards for her school party. We just printed and cut out a bunch for her classmates. They turned out really cute. You saved the day- thanks!

These looks so adorable! Thanks Emily!
Yay for freebies!
These are wonderful, Emily! Thank you so much!
Super CUTE!!!! Love your design work and posts! Inspirational for a creative trying to get a home business going. :D
I love these! But I keep trying to download from the post and it just takes me to the printables page… and I don’t see them there! Am I just missing them?
Once you put your email in, the files will be sent to your inbox!
Love the printable, however when I opened it, there are not plus marks on the envelope? Is it just me?
Make sure you download using adobe reader – hopefully that will work! If not, let me know and we’ll see what we can do.
I am having issues with the plus envelope too for some reason. I even tried downloading it on my other computer.
You will need to open the file using Adobe Reader. This is especially true if you are on a mac – the default pdf reader program (Preview) does not always pull in the complete artwork. Not sure why, but adobe reader will do the trick!
Ok, I opened with Adobe Reader and it worked! Thank you! I’m so excited about these cards :)
Thank you again, Emily, for your generosity. Your printables are so classy. I just pinned this and said: I LOVE Jones Design Company!
Thanks Emily……these are adorable!!
