Ryan makes fun of me because every time a new holiday comes I adamantly declare that it is my favorite.
But Easter really is my favorite.
Growing up, our Easters consisted of easter basket scavenger hunts, Sandi Patti playing on the record player, marshmallow peeps and fancy dresses made by my mom. We ate breakfast (blueberry french toast) in the dining room with real cloth napkins and fresh flowers on the table. We wore our new dresses to church then on to a big family gathering where the cousins overdosed on candy and dirtied our pastel outfits. Sometimes we did an Easter egg hunt, sometimes not.
But ALWAYS at some point in the day we heard:
“He is Risen!”
to which we answered back:
“He is risen, indeed!”
Did you grow up saying this too? Doesn’t it just make you smile? There is something so happy about that phrase. Spiritually, of course. But also the idea of a fresh start, new life, a sense of hopefulness and excitement that surrounds this time of year.
It was this phrase that was the inspiration behind these free Easter prints designed by my super-talented friend Lindsay.
What she created is so beautiful – both in design and spiritual truth. I am so excited to share her creations with you again this year.
Because sitting down for breakfast at a special table is a favorite memory of mine, I set a few Easter tables (using Lindsay’s artwork as inspiration). There are lots of do-it-yourself ideas here as well as simple ways to set a pretty table. Perhaps it can inspire your Easter decorations if you’re still in need of some tablescape ideas.
(P.S. Before setting these tables, I had to google ‘how to set a table’. That’s how fancy I am.)
linen + white + industrial basket + vintage glassware
and the perfect little place cards
printed paper + ribbon-tied napkin + coordinating chocolates in a pretty dish
with a lovely print to send home with each guest
fresh flowers + pretty china + playful polka dots
paper plates + candy appetizer + crepe paper flower
a name tag tied to a flower makes a special party favor
So does that give you any ideas for your Easter table?
If you would like to use Lindsay’s artwork as part of your decoration, we have put together a great collection for you.
This printable collection comes with small, medium and large art prints and place cards in navy, teal and green.
You can print as many as you need, give them as gifts or use in your own home.

Thank you Emily and Lindsay. The large print in turquoise is my favourite and I have it up for our Easter Weekend right now. He is risen indeed!

They are all so pretty I can’t pick a favorite! Where is your industrial basket from? Also is the yellow China vintage? Thanks and Happy Easter!
Those words, “He is risen, indeed,” catch in my throat every single time. I always end up with tears streaming down my cheeks (they are now, actually!), I guess because it’s almost too wonderful to be believed. Happy Easter to you and your family!
Oh, these are just beautiful! Thank you for sharing! <3
absolutely gorgeous!
could you tell me what the font is called that you used for the “Happy Easter” name cards? i’ve been trying to find it so i can use it for an art project in my daughter’s room. Thanks so much!
That is Lindsay’s handwriting!
These are beautiful. The colors are perfect for each of the tablescapes. I am featuring your 1st tablescape for my Feature Friday today on 15 Easter Tablescape and Decoration Ideas. I hope you can stop by and check it out! http://returntothetable.net/tablescapes/15-easter-tablescape-and-decoration-ideas/
Of all you’ve done so far, this is the most beautiful and inspirational. What a gift! Thank you. And your scripture cards are a close second. I’m printing them up and giving them as gifts. I hope you know how your talents are inspiring more people that you can tell. You go girl!!!
Do you have a font set that you base #1 and #3 off of? I’ve been looking everywhere for something similar, but haven’t found the one that is quite right…
I just LOVE those cards that say He Is risen!
He is indeed!!
And I love all your instagram pics. Isn’t it so fun!!
Super cute and I love your blog!!

These are beautiful! I laughed when I read the beginning of this post — my Husband picks on me for the same thing!! But really, Easter is my FAVORITE! Too funny :) xoxo! eliza
I didn’t grow up saying that, but the church that my husband and I fell in love with after we were married and moved away said that. And I LOVED it! I wish the church I grew up in as a child had said it too.
Love table #1! Did you find the linen tablcoth (walmart) and taupe plates (target) recently? I’d love to find them or something similar for my table this year.
Thanks!
Love the tables.
Easter is INDEED a glorious holiday!
These place settings are adorable! Love that yellow and blue. Awesome job.
Such beautiful tablescapes! You almost make me want to host Easter (and sit at the kid’s table:)!
i totally grew up saying “He is risen… He is risen indeed!” great print of it! i love easter as well and lately have preferred to call it resurrection sunday just because that seems to emphasize the whole reason a bit more in my head. i am hoping to have this next baby on easter. :)
my recent post: a little bit of real life (and my 37.5 week maternity pics!)
Opps auto correct! He is risen, indeed. :)
I love this post. I grew up with similar traditions and yes it makes me smile. He has risen, indeed.
love all these table settings and the print!! are you selling the 8×10 by itself by any chance? they are truly beautiful. easter is probably my favorite holiday too ;)
His is risen indeed!!!!!! So excited for Easter. I love all of Holy week. It is just so dramatic and beautiful. The greatest, truest, most beautiful story of all time.
Your settings and prints are gorgeous, Emily and Lindsay!
Thank Lindsey for such a beautiful set. I ordered it immediately. You’ll probably see the notes but I had to comment (just in case…) but I completely agree with you. Easter has always been my favorite holiday, from my earliest memories of holidays. Because…without the reason behind Easter, truly… what is the point of life? Such love, such grace, such beauty behind that simple phrase – He is not here, He is risen… I get goosebumps, tears in my eyes & almost fall to my knees every time I just think of it. Thanks again.
Beautiful and inspiring tables! Thank you! Is the blue flower that the name tag is tied to on table 4 made from crepe paper? Did you make it? If so, how? Thanks again and Happy Easter!
I did make the flower. You can google ‘crepe paper flower’ and find lots of tutorials. I’ll try to do one of my own in the next week.
oh the fun you must have had putting these together ; )
These printable are beautiful and the table settings are, too! Inspiring me this morning as I start to think about Easter. Thanks!
Oh yes, I know that saying and we still say it today in our church. Helps me remember why we celebrate!
He is Risen…
I love it all! And Easter is by FAR my favorite holiday and I too claim that about all of them too but it truly is my all time Favorite. Have you done resurrection cookies with your kids? I do them each year (link on my blog sidebar) and they are a fantastic teaching/fun moment as a family. You decorate a pretty sweet table there girlfriend. :)
Blessings,
Sasha
inspiration…not inspriation, although inspriation does sound maybe it should be a word…
i’ve been scurrying around my own kitchen trying to recreate a little more of a spring vignette in there …stopped to sip some coffee & check on you…& lo and behold…INSPRIATION!!
love that i made it to your spring party! ;)
xoox
I love your printables! Reminds me of the time I picked my 3 yr old up after my MOPS group. I asked him what he learned while he was in Moppets and he said “He is not here for….. He is in prison”. I still chuckle about it. :)
your table settings are beautiful – my fav is probably #1. my memories of the holiday are similar to yours…however, a few years ago after learning more about the real history of easter, i just couldn’t do it anymore. we now celebrate passover. seeing how Christ is reflected in passover is powerful! i hope to include some of your great ideas into our seder dinner this year:)
I LOVE the print!! I feel the same way – love all the holidays, but as I get older I appreciate Easter more and more. Thanks for sharing this print. I can’t wait to print some of my own :)
Oh, Emily. I love your style.
You have inspired me to pull out my Easter decor and prepare! My mother-in-law had gorgeous porcelain eggs hand painted for each member of our family. A treasure for sure ~ especially since she is now in heaven. Thank you for the inspiration. xo.
Your table ideas have given me so much inspiration! I love table number 3 – well I love then all but that one has to be my favourite. Thanks for the ideas:)
