First of Fall

    Happy September 1st!

I’ll be honest … I’m not as ready for fall as I usually am. This summer has been great and I’m still hanging on to the last threads. The kids go back to school in a few days and so I fully expect that by the end of the week I’ll be back to my normal autumn-loving self – lighting candles and pulling out my favorite fall sweaters and craving hot tea.

Last year I painted this cute Autumn Essentials watercolor print and just looking at it reminds me how wonderful this next season is.

Slippers. The sound of rain. Changing leaves. Tall boots. Cozy, warm colors and pumpkin pie.

The original autumn essential painting was scanned and turned it into a FREE! printable pdf for your enjoyment (here’s a post about how I do these, if you’re curious).

It’s a fun piece to put out for the fall (maybe on your entry table? Or on your mantle?) or to give a friend who loves this time of year.

You can download the print from The Archive (login/sign up below), then print on your favorite paper. I printed mine on matte photo paper to get the best image quality, but watercolor paper would be a great option as well.

To download this print, I invite you to join (or log in to) our library of freebies by clicking the image below. You’ll have access to all of our best printables, fonts, clipart and templates.

    Enjoy … and happy fall.

    1. I’m obsessed with this printable. You’re very talented, Emily. I hope you don’t mind I featured this printable on my blog today, with a link back, of course! Have a great weekend! :)

    2. Hi! Just printed out the Autumn Essentials and added just a touch of gold glitter to one of the pumpkins. Thanks for the darling pick-me-up for my office…even though I’m still wearing flip flops. Oh, and my husband adds that next year’s print should include a football ha ha!

    3. Hi Emily. I am a quiet fan but had to give you a public thank you. I am a wedding photographer but am starting to capitalize on my inner creative drivers now. Graphic design is one of my passions and AI is what I use. Not only this post, but many others, share such an immeasurable amount of free wealth & knowledge at the expense of your pure kindness (and marketing, I mean hey, we do have to run a business). But you share what some would be too prideful to share so for that, I thank you.
