the always amazing holly mathis

Do y’all read Holly’s blog? If not, perhaps you should. She’s amazing. Besides being a dear friend, she is also a fabulous decorator. Look at what she did to a little space in her kitchen:

I love so many things about it. The linen skirt, the pencils in the pitcher, the funky lamps and metal basket. I love that it is clearly feminine without being over-the-top. I could work there.

And see what she did for a little feature on hgtv.com:

A slipcovered bed two ways. I’m loving that one with the chipper fabric {I’m thinking about using it for living room curtains : we’ll see how that goes over with Ryan}. Of course the book wreath is a favorite, but then add in a silhouette, neutral walls, that simple glass lamp : I could sleep there.

And then this charming set up with the monogramed slipcover. I love the way Holly mixes so many textures and layers – it really makes the room look collected and lived in and finished without being contrived.

    1. Just wanted to let you know how much you always inspire me. My husband has been away all week, so I have finally gotten to some of the projects I have wanted to do. I made a ruffle pillow and love it. Also I loved your post on living were you live. I have a huge commitement problem I think. But this is our final home so why not try some things. Maybe I will send you a picture. thanks again for the inspiration.

    2. Thank you, God Bless Happy New Year!!

Please pick me! I sure don’t have a facebook, or want one, but share your blog with family & loved friends. Hug

    3. That’s so funny! I had just printed the desk image from Holly’s site the other day for inspiration. Love it!! Your art prints are fabulous too & I can’t wait to order a few. Thank you for making them available. PS: Loving the personal stationary you created for me this week. Kind of makes a girl feel put together (even when she may be faking it on some days). :-)

    4. Love Holly’s blog! She is so creative and you are too! I am so in love with your art prints – just gorgeous! I am adding in some bits of green to my decor so I may just snatch up that cute pear print :) Love that it’s printed on textured paper too – can I ask what printer you use? I am in need of a new printer and just wondered if you had any recommendations. Thanks in advance! Christy :)

    5. I have always had my eye on several of your name prints, but can I just say that I am in LOVE with your art prints?! Just beautiful! A good way to keep God’s Word right in front of us!
