tufting and nailheads and linen, oh my

After eying it for months in Ashley’s home, I finally emailed her and asked if she cared if I copied her. I just loved her sofa so much.

Thankfully, she didn’t mind. And she was super sweet and shared her source and someday we’ll meet and I’ll feel especially bonded because we have the same sofa.

    Isn’t it lovely?

The linen color is a light oatmeally/beige with a little bit of gray. Very neutral and bright.

The arms and back are generous and sturdy.

Ā And surprisingly very, very comfortable. Plus, there are no lose cushions to fluff.

The seat is deep and down-filled. Basically you never want to get up once you sit down.

Even the details are fabulous with tiny nailhead trim and tufting along the front.

Is this the most practical of all sofas for a family with young children? Probably not. But I can’t say I’m the most practical person and I am okay with that.Ā  This couch sits in our living room where we spend a lot of time so of course it will not stay perfect for forever, but I’m prolonging it’s loveliness for as long as possible by restricting food and shoes and crazy roughhousing {we have plenty of other places for those things}.

We purchased the sofa from Andella Home and they were wonderful to work with.Ā  Ours is the 90″ Audrey Sofa {how fitting, right?}.

    Great news for you:

One more cool thing about Andella Home: shipping is always FREE. Love that.

If your living room wants to be matchy-matchy with both mine and Ashley’s, we say go for it.

    You will love this sofa.

    2. Can you please let us know where you got your throw pillows or fabric for the throw pillows? Love this entire look! Definitely want to incorporate the black and white into my living room.

    3. Absolutely love this sofa! My only hesitation is not being able to sit in it first! I am fairly short (5’3″) and most furniture pieces are so uncomfortably deep, even with a pillow at my back. So, at 40″ deep, I just have to wonder if I will be totally lost when I sit down! How tall are you, Emily, and can you sit straight down facing forward and still be comfortable?

      1. I am 5’7 and it is pretty deep. If I’m sitting all the way back, my feet just barely touch the ground. But the depth is one of the things that makes it super comfy!

    4. Hi, just butting in here…This very couch is at The Dump a discount furniture store with several locations. I also will tell you it is at about a 40-50% discount from link above!!

    5. LOVE . WANT . THAT . SOFA !!! Sadly, it’s a bit out of my budget at the moment, but the second I can afford it, it’s mine! Love your changes in the living room! Pretty much love whatever you do in your home.

      1. I JUST found this very same couch on ebay from Grassfield Stores and Home and Theater Furniture (same company). I bought the 118″ sofa and 77″ loveseat and saved $1300-$1600 (depending on tax) over what Andella charges, even with their 10% discount! The same set is also on Neiman Marcus, but the two pieces there go for $5900 together…a savings for me of $2400!!! Delivery time is quick, at 2-4 weeks…and they, too, have free shipping. I can’t wait for them to be delivered.

    6. Gorgeous! Love all of the details and especially the color. I’ve always loved a white sofa and with our great dane, we’ve decided to start looking for a different colored one. Very sad for me, but I’m loving this one! It’s still light and neutral, but a little more color to it (hence a slight more durability) than our stark white one. Looks so good in your living room!

    7. I love this couch! It looks beautiful in your space. I sent you an email but not sure how quickly you will get it. How long did you have to wait to get the couch? Was Andella home easy to work with? Thanks so much! I love your blog and always enjoy all your posts!

    8. I think I’m in love too! I have been seeing more and more of that deconstructed, linen look, but this sofa stands out from the rest. It’s those large, scrolled arms with the nailhead trim. I’m mad about nailhead right now too! Great buy and thanks for posting!

    9. Love, love love that sofa! I’ve been eyeballing the exact same one for a while now, trying to figure out how to approach my husband about the subject since our PB one is only 18 months old. It just has a little too much gold undertone to it, so over it. Also loving the sliver of fireplace that was playing peek a boo in the background. Looking forward to seeing a post on that as well as we are about to reface ours and I’m stockpiling inspiration photos.

    10. It’s a beautiful chesterfield!! I’ve been coveting it from afar on Ashley’s blog too! It has a totally different feel in your house though. I love it!

    11. I envy you! Your beautiful home, your great sense of style, your entrepreneurial spirit and your house full of kids and a husband!

      God Bless!

    12. So gorgeous! I am dreaming of having a chesterfield-like sectional sofa in our media room at our new house. I don’t know if such a thing even exists…but I would love if it did and if it looked just like yours. :)

    13. Know where I could get this look for a little less? I LOVE your living room, but am very cash strapped as of late and trying trying trying to find economical pieces that I can like, maybe not love like I’d love this sofa….

    14. That looks gorgeous in your home! And so comfortable looking, like crawl up with a book and blanket comfy. Great deal and free shipping on it. Thanks for scoring a discount for your readers, so thoughtful. :) Sharon

    15. It’s so beautiful! My dream sofa! I just got the linden sofa from Z gallerie. Similar shape, but loose pillows rather than the chesterfield design. It has the same shape as well as nail head trim and it’s super deep and comfortable. I do love tufting though….wishing i had that! I love your sofa!

    16. Beautiful, Emily!!! I was just cleaning the upholstery on our Pottery Barn couch yesterday and thinking how long it will last with 3 schooners ages 4,3, and 2. When I am ready to replace, I will probably be going this route. Sucker for light linen over here too!
