I took my little charm necklace off about a year ago. I’m not really sure why. Maybe I just needed a break.
This necklace has been with me for almost my whole time of being a mom. I ordered the two little charms when my first two boys were tiny and added more with each new baby. I have always loved how petite the charms are, their sweet lowercase typeface and the length of the chain.
When looking through my jewelry drawer for a bracelet last weekend, I found this necklace and decided it was time to put it back on. How I’ve missed wearing it!
I remember when my Audrey girl was just a baby and as I rocked her to sleep, her little hand would reach up and play with the charms.
Mason, our third and most nostalgic of the bunch, noticed when I put the necklace back on. It’s just as meaningful to him as it is to me.
With mother’s day coming up, it seems like the perfect time to order yourself – or your mom or sister or bestie – a special mama necklace. I’ve pulled together 12 of my favorites (I’m so tempted to switch mine out for #11!).
My sister wears this necklace and I always comment on it. It’s probably best for moms with only children as the charm is attached to the chain.
Classic and modern with a handful of engraving/monogram options.
I have four bracelets with my kids birth stones from this same line and they are so pretty. I love the idea of adding birthstones and initial tags for each of the kids.
How adorable is this? You can choose from the stock silhouettes or pay a little extra for a custom silhouette of your babes. I love how tiny the charms are. Comes in silver or gold.
These are the charms I have. They are teensy and you can either have upper or lowercase letters hand stamped. You can add the charms to any chain – mine is super old from Something Silver (a local jewelry store) and I’m pretty sure I’ve had it since high school.
The mixed metals on this one is very modern and unique. You can add additional charms for $19.
I love the handcrafted nature of all of Lisa Leonard’s jewelry. This necklace is so cute with the touch of the birthstone at the bottom of each tag. The price includes one tag, with each additional costing $29.
Perfect for the mama of three.
This one is a little different than the others in that it is long and a bit chunkier. It comes in three different colors (frost, rose and sage) and you can add the initial charms for $9.50 each.
You should click around on this shop – she has so many dainty choices!
This adorable necklace comes with three letter initials – you can add additional charms for $19.
I discovered this company while searching for mom necklaces – they have a wide variety of options. I just picked this one because it had room for four names :)
Aren’t those great?! I don’t really need another mama necklace, but a few of them have me tempted to ask for a new one for Mother’s Day.
If you are looking for a sweet gift for a mom in your life (or you need suggestions for what your husband can get you for Mother’s Day), perhaps a keepsake necklace is just the right choice.
