Happy Fall my friends! Each season a bunch of bloggers join together to share fall decorating ideas. The tour is FULL of gorgeous – yet real life – homes with inspiration galore. Laura at Finding Home starts things off (see her home here) and we’ve partnered with Better Homes + Gardens as well! If you are coming from Michael’s home, welcome. Isn’t his home just the happiest place?! He does an amazing job of mixing patterns and color, while still keeping things clean. Love it. If my house is your first stop, be sure to click back to see what you’ve missed (start here).
This year, I have to say, I have been holding on to summer as long as possible and haven’t been quite ready for complete fall decorating with deep colors and traditional autumn colors. I’m sure that time will come as we progress into the next few months, but for now, I was going for a touch of fall with textures and warm/neutral colors, but still fresh and light. So I’m calling this my early fall home decorating.
Enjoy the peek into our home!
LIVING ROOM
Our fireplace lends itself so well to fall decorating with the cozy textures of stone and cedar. We usually keep our large iron stag head up there, but I thought I’d switch things up and display a painting I did of a pumpkin (proud moment). If you’d like a print of the painting for your home, you can purchase one here (use code GRATITUDE for 15% off).
The linen couch is the perfect foundation for switching out accessories for any season. This time around a mix of textures and patterns leans toward a cozy, autumn feel.
SOURCES:
sofa / tufted chairs / wool rug / coffee table (similar) / side table / buffalo plaid throw / black geometric pillow / leather pillow / white geometric pillows / brass L (no longer available) / white pumpkin painting
PIANO
Last summer, I painted our old, dark wood piano bright white. I love it so much more now (even though the keys are so obviously aged-off-white).
SOURCES:
bench (Target, no longer available) / sheepskin / fall art print (download free below or here)
KITCHEN
SOURCES:
bar stools / gold dot pillow (Marshall’s) / striped bowls / striped dish towel (coming soon!)
BUTLER’S PANTRY
In between the kitchen and dining room is a little pass-through where we keep our coffee station. It keeps it accessible, but out of the way from regular kitchen activities.
SOURCES:
coffee maker / milk frother / metal tray / striped mugs / coffee print
DINING ROOM
SOURCES:
table (no longer available, Restoration Hardware) / chairs / light / shelf / bar cart / striped napkins (coming soon!)
So there it is … the house all prettied up for fall.

Lovely home, wonderful ideas!
I was just going back to look at your house tour for ideas since we just bought a fixer upper. Could you tell me what paint color the white walls are. Thank you!
Our white walls are White Heron by Sherwin Williams
Thank you for the freebie! It’s lovely. Where did you find your dining room curtains? They’re perfect!
The dining room curtains are from IKEA and I added the striped trim. It’s a piece of ikea striped fabric cut on the bias and then hemmed and stitched to the edge of the curtain.
Such fabulous style – and I see I’m not the only one eyeing those dining chairs. I think I’m sold on them after reading your comments! Happy fall!
Emily, I absolutely LOVE your home. It is perfectly my taste. I’m saving this tour on Pinterest for future reference when we move out west in May! ?
Simply beautiful, Emily!
LOVE it all, Emily! So gorgeous! Your mantel is my favorite! ;}
your home is lovely. nicely appointed and very inviting
Thank you so much for the fall print. Now my dining room shelf feels “fallified”. It is the perfect finishing touch. Your house looks beautiful – I’ve always admired your style even though this is my first time to comment.
You have a lovely home and everything looks so warm and welcoming.I invite you to share at my Thursday blog hop. Hugs!
When we built our home last Christmas I wanted lots of neutrals and then adding pattern on top of that. But not TAN neutrals, my walls are light gray and with wood and marble and the stone on the fireplace it just seems so cozy and not so blah. I think it bugs everyone else that my home’s pallet is so neutral and I don’t have much color but seeing your home reminds me of how much I LOVE it! I painted a pumpkin similar to yours when you did it several years back and it is still one of my favorite things to get out each fall!
Hi Emily! :)
Your home is beautiful! I love your piano painted white. It is all so pretty and cozy looking.
Thank you so much for the free printable!
And the pumpkin you painted is absolutely gorgeous!
Kimberley
Your pumpkin painting is SO pretty! You make me miss the platter wall I had at our previous home…it may be time to do another. Happy Fall!
PLEASE!!! Tell me where to get that beautiful black & white checkered blanket on the 1st couple of living room pictures. I’m just in love with it, thanks!!
Jennifer
The blanket is from Schoolhouse Electric!
gorgeous! i saw your email in my inbox this morning and have been anxiously awaiting nap time to come so i could make a cup of coffee, sit on my couch and come to your blog to view. such a great job. it satisfied my afternoon soul. :)
Love your home, thank you for sharing it with us! What color are your remy side chairs??
Emily,
Love it all!! Can you tell me what you used to hang your silver platters? Thanks!
Kelly
I use plate hangers – here is a post all about it: https://jonesdesigncompany.com/decorate/hang-platters-wall/
I love the silver serving pieces hanging on the wall. I am lucky enough to have many pieces passed down through the family. Do you use your pieces? How are they hung? What happens say on Thanksgiving when they are all in use!! thanks so much for sharing.
I don’t typically use these, but I could easily pull them down if I needed to! They are hung with basic plate hangers: https://jonesdesigncompany.com/decorate/hang-platters-wall/
SUCH eye candy! I’ve looked it over twice now. You’re making me want to go paint something white. Anything.
I can’t get enough white right now :)
Your home is always lovely and your decorating style one of my favorites!! You are always so generous. Thank you!! :)
Emily everything is gorgeous!! I absolutely love all of your fall touches and how they don’t overpower the spaces but just add a simple but lovely nod to the season. So pretty! Thrilled to be part of the tour with you this year. :-)
Love your fall look! It’s so cozy and classy!! I wanted to thank you so much for the Fall Printable!! I can’t wait to use it in my home and at work!
ive always loved your home but gosh those white walls we’re a brilliant decision. I think your home looks even more sophisticated and polished but in such a warm way! Beautiful!
Beautiful as always! Love the mix of pillows on your beautiful couch! Looks so welcoming and cozy! I am SO excited for the stripe towels to make their debut!
Still not seeing the free pumpkin pic. i went to the archives link. thanks.
Could your home be any more gorgeous? I love it all and that pumpkin painting is to die for! So glad to be on the tour with you!
Jessica @ Four Generations One Roof
Thanks Jessica! Exciting to see your home, too!
Another one here who doesn’t see the print in the archive (the link to the archive works fine, the print is just not listed there).
Sorry for the trouble! We just refreshed the page so it should show up for you now. It is the very first one. If not, try refreshing your page or close your browser and open it back up. Thanks for your patience!
Hi Amy,
We just refreshed the page so it should load now! If you still don’t see it, try refreshing your page or closing your browser and opening again.
I absolutely LOVE your home and this print! But I am unable to see it. I have tried to open the archive link many times, I see all of your other amazing printable’s, but not this fall print.
THANK YOU!
I’ve tried going through all the links above and in the comments, and I still don’t see the printable. Where is it at in the archives? What is it called? THANK YOU!
Sorry about that … we’ve refreshed the archive page so just try refreshing your page and it should show up!
I tried clicking THE ARCHIVES that Emily mentions in the paragraph right above the print and then it shows up
Emily, your home is always such a treat to visit! Your style & authenticity shines through everything you do! So thrilled to also be a part of BHG’s Christmas Ideas mag, beautiful, beautiful job! Jen
I’m not seeing the print in the archive either when I click! :-(
Emily, your house is beautiful as always. I could move in without changing a thing! I do not see the pumpkin fall print in the archive and unlike Betsy, it has not showed up for me. Help!
Thanks Monica!
The print is in the archive found here: https://jonesdesigncompany.com/the-jdc-design-archive/
I really love your neutral but textured style and my finger is kind of hurting after pinning so many pretty pictures. :) Thanks for the great inspiration!
Ah, thanks Anni!
Wow! So lovely. Everything is so crispy, clean, and inviting. You’ve created such a beautiful home.
Excited to be a part of this tour with you. :)
xo Michael
Thanks Michael!
Tiffany and I are on the same wavelength this morning!
I love how the metal chairs look, but they can’t be as comfortable as your previous parson’s chairs, right?
I’m still wanting to steal your kitchenette….love that built in bench. I just need a rectangular table….
Thanks for sharing….I’m not quite ready for full on fall either!
We love the new chairs and they are surprisingly comfortable! The parson’s chairs stained way too easily (white slipcovers are not my best friend) and they felt a bit flimsier than these metal chairs. I am very happy with the switch!
I’m not seeing the print in the archive when I click on it…fyi!
jk! lol. now I am :)
Help, I’m not seeing the printable either. Thanks, as always, Emily!
Sorry for the trouble! The print can be found here: https://jonesdesigncompany.com/the-jdc-design-archive/
Hi Emily, how do you like the metal dining room chairs? Are they easy on the bum? I’ve been eyeing them for ages and they are on sale now @RH. Decisions, decisions. Your home is beautiful and welcoming, thanks for sharing.
We love the chairs. The seat height is a tiny bit taller than our previous chairs, so just double check your measurements before ordering. otherwise, they are great. Heavy, solid, surprisingly comfortable.
Love all your fall décor! Just what I needed to see to get motivated myself. I’ve been considering the Remy dining chairs as well….are they comfortable?
They are! And for $99, they are a great deal.
